— LEGO Speed Champions 76915 Pagani Utopia build —

Pagani has a signature design with a large curved roof and windshield assembly, the front shape and duo headlights as well as the singular exhaust at the rear, all of which feature in many of its cars. The Utopia is no different and the LEGO Speed Champions set excellently captures the iconic aspects of the more recent Pagani car with great detail.

The part usage on this build is inventive, interesting and appropriate. From the ice skates on the front to the car doors at the back to best recreate the unique angles of the Pagani Utopia, a lot of thought has gone into this first LEGO Speed Champions Pagani set and it shows.

Focusing on the back of the build, the singular exhaust’s drum-lacquered element is an appreciated touch, though it is printed in a way that it looks better at certain angles. It’s an unexpected detail that feels almost unnecessary, but the depth that it adds from those angles is a level of immersion rarely seen in LEGO sets.

The angled lights are attached to a single assembly clipped on to the main model. As such, this entire section is easy to accidentally lift, unintentionally altering the appearance of the model. Thankfully, it’s easy to remedy by lining the section up correctly after moving it, but just be aware that this can happen while handling 76915 Pagani Utopia.

Continuing with a highlight of our favourite details, a small depiction of the engine with two roller skates through the back is wonderfully done and an aspect that doesn’t make it into most other LEGO Speed Champions sets.

The interior of this LEGO Speed Champions set is surprisingly lush too, with brown wedges, tiles and slopes used to – as accurately as possible at this scale – recreate the expansive inside space on the Pagani Utopia. Similar to 76914 Ferrari 812 Competizione, the interior doesn’t need to be a priority for LEGO Speed Champions models, but that extra attention to detail is always welcome.

— LEGO Speed Champions 76915 Pagani Utopia characters —

There’s only one minifigure included in 76915 Pagani Utopia. Most of the time, LEGO Speed Champions minifigures aren’t too interesting but the debut of a new manufacturer for the theme presents an opportunity to depict new logos on LEGO bricks. It’s still not an overly exciting minifigure, which it doesn’t need to be, but it’s unique since this is the only LEGO Pagani set so far.

The minifigure wears a striking black and white racing suit with an impressive amount of printing that smoothly carries over from the torso to the waist and then to the legs. It’s a nice bonus on top of the main build in 76915 Pagani Utopia, but this driver isn’t going to be a major selling point of the set for anyone.

— LEGO Speed Champions 76915 Pagani Utopia price —

You can pick up 76915 Pagani Utopia from March 1, 2023, for £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99, the same price as all modern LEGO Speed Champions single-car sets. This price feels completely fair for both the number of elements you receive and the volume of the model they make up. Any higher and it may be harder to stomach, but we’d recommend this LEGO Speed Champions set at its RRP. Of course, a discount would be even better…

— LEGO Speed Champions 76915 Pagani Utopia pros and cons —

The debut of Pagani as a partner of the LEGO Group is off to a roaring start with 76915 Pagani Utopia. The new set is a strong entry in the latest wave of LEGO Speed Champions models and boasts details not too common in the theme, as well as a design unique to the manufacturer that has been expertly recreated at this scale.

For those collecting LEGO Speed Champions, the presence of a new manufacturer may have already convinced you to pick up 76915 Pagani Utopia, but we’d recommend this model for any enthusiast of the theme as it truly feels like a unique experience, even after cars from 17 other manufacturers.
