LEGO announces plans for first store in Norwich

The LEGO Group has revealed plans to open its first LEGO Store in Norwich, bringing its 24th UK retail location to East Anglia.

The new store will open at Chantry Place shopping centre, giving Norfolk its first dedicated LEGO Store. It will span 266 square metres and offer the interactive features now standard across modern LEGO Stores, including a Pick-a-Brick Wall, a Build-a-Minifigure Tower and the latest sets available to buy in-store.

The LEGO Group has not confirmed an opening date yet, but Shweta Munshi, vice president of marketing at LEGO Retail, described the location as ‘a top destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our LEGO community and new builders alike’.

The new location will also fill a major gap on the LEGO Group’s UK retail map. At the moment, the closest LEGO Store to Norwich city centre is in Stratford, around 109 miles away. Once the Norwich branch opens, local fans across Norfolk will finally have a dedicated LEGO hub much closer to home.
