LEGO Art may be getting Batman, Elvis and world map mosaics in 2021

Batman and Elvis may be joining the LEGO Art theme in 2021, according to a new rumour.

StoneWars reports that you’ll be able to continue decorating your home with mosaics of superheroes and musicians next year. But that’s not all, as the LEGO Art theme will also branch out from pop culture references to the real world. The entire world, in fact, with a mosaic of the world map.

According to StoneWars, that map will allegedly run approximately three times the size of a regular LEGO Art mosaic. That’s presumably horizontally, so you’ll end up with a 48×144-stud image, akin to the combo created from three copies of 31199 Marvel – Iron Man.

By contrast, Elvis will reportedly get the standard 48×48 treatment. The rock and roll legend is probably one of the few musicians who could rival The Beatles’ iconic status, so he makes perfect sense as the follow-up to 31198 The Beatles.

Information is a little scarcer where the Batman set is concerned. Will it be an image of the Dark Knight himself? Or will it simply be the Bat-insignia? We’ll have to wait and see. But based on the popularity of 76139 1989 Batmobile – and the imminent launch of 76161 1989 Batwing – our money is on something relating to Tim Burton’s Batman.

These three sets join Harry Potter and Mickey and Minnie Mouse on the list of rumoured LEGO Art mosaics for 2021. Remember, though: they are just rumours at this stage, until they’re confirmed by the LEGO Group.

If you’re already looking to expand on the first wave of LEGO Art sets, check out these brilliant remixes. Or if you haven’t got your hands on the mosaics yet, they’re all available now. Please support Brick Fanatics by ordering them from LEGO.com using our affiliate links.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
