LEGO Avatar’s five new sets and taller minifigures are now available

It’s a big day for LEGO Avatar as today, October 1, 2022, is the theme’s debut – with five models available now on the online store. 

From BrickHeadz to banshees, LEGO Avatar is here recreating the alien world of Pandora. LEGO Avatar was first announced at LEGO CON 2022 and is based on the franchise by James Cameron, which will soon receive a sequel titled Avatar: The Way of Water. 

It’s been a while since the first, and so far only, film in the franchise released in 2009 so as a refresher, Avatar is about the world of Pandora, inhabited by many creatures including the tribes of Na’vi, an alien race of humanoids that are far taller than humans and standard minifigures alike.

To best represent the Na’vi, longer limbs have returned to LEGO minifigures in new colours and can be found throughout the sets. One pair of long legs in a more versatile brown colour can be found in 75573 Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson. 

LEGO Avatar’s sets have a variety of price points but for those looking for a taste of the theme, your options include 75571 Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch at £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 and the BrickHeadz double pack – 40554 Jake Sully & his Avatar – at £17.99 / $19.99/ €19.99.
