If you didn’t get your order in straight away this morning, you’ll be in for a wait to get your hands on the latest (and undoubtedly greatest) brick-built DeLorean the LEGO Group has released to date – unless you have access to an actual time machine, of course.
The Creator Expert set initially went on back order earlier today, with an expected shipping date of April 23 in the US and May 6 in the UK and Europe. It’s since shifted to ‘temporarily out of stock’ across all those regions, however, which means you can’t place an order at all.
There was little doubt this brand new Back to the Future set would be popular, but that it’s sold out in a matter of hours is testament to not only the appetite for a new LEGO DeLorean, but also how brilliant this Creator Expert version is. You can see more of the 3-in-1 set – which can be modified to reflect all three Back to the Future movies – in our detailed review, or by hitting play on the video above.
The 1,872-piece set now joins the likes of 76178 Daily Bugle and 10294 Titanic, both of which are also temporarily out of stock at LEGO.com – and showing no signs of coming back. We’ll keep you posted on when 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine is available again.
