LEGO Batman 76139 1989 Batmobile races back into stock at LEGO.com

You can once again build a stunning LEGO tribute to Tim Burton’s Batman, as 76139 1989 Batmobile is back in stock at LEGO.com.

The 3,306-piece ode to one of the most iconic Batmobiles ever designed has dropped out of stock more times than Joker’s terrorised Gotham City, but it’s now once again available to order. It’s not cheap by any means, weighing in at £219.99 / $249.99 / €249.99. But for your money, you’ll get one of the best LEGO Batmobiles ever released. And you’ll also get one of the best gifts around for a LEGO Batman fan. (Check out our Xmas gift guide for the rest.)

The ultimate version of the Batmobile launched in 2019 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton’s first Batman film, and the 80th anniversary of the Caped Crusader himself. You’ll bag three minifigures in the set, two of which are still exclusive to it in Vicki Vale and the Joker. Old Bats himself, however, has since appeared again in 76161 1989 Batwing.

76139 1989 Batmobile’s restocking at LEGO.com sees it drive straight back into Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, which tracks the very best sets currently available at LEGO.com. LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk has also reappeared online today, and has subsequently come back into the list in ninth place.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
