LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is packed with accessibility options

Players will have plenty of handy accessibility options available to tinker with when LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight arrives next week.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is finally due to descend next week, with the TT Games title having been in development for over four years. Ahead of the video game’s launch comes official confirmation of the various accessibility options that will be available on day one, allowing players to customise their interactive experience in a number of interesting ways.

For starters, we already knew about LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s three difficulty settings, which include Classic, with unlimited lives and fewer enemies, Caped Crusader, which provides a balanced focus between combat and story, and Dark Knight, the ultimate test of a player’s abilities and only limited lives.

Added to those options will be a toggle to prevent players from losing any precious studs if they’re defeated, and a very useful auto-save feature, with story missions including multiple restore points, while open world sections save when a new collectible is obtained or significant progress is made during an event.

What’s more, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will allow players to rewatch handy tutorials and tips at any time from the pause menu, there’s a High Contrast Mode used to highlight important in-game elements and even the ability to change how key markers appear.

In addition to other various video and audio adjustments, the game’s accessibility options will give players the ability to select an Aim Snap that causes gadgets to lock on to targets and adjust the game’s speed, plus there are Gadget Aiming and Rapid Fire controls and even quick-time event skipping.

Players will be able to fiddle around with all of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s accessibility options when the game is released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 22. Fans who decide to purchase the Deluxe Edition will even be able to gain access to the title a full three days earlier on May 19.
