LEGO Batman summer 2024 rumours include Batman: The Animated Series

A rare Bat-pod build and a LEGO Batman set inspired by a familiar animated series are now rumoured for LEGO Batman / DC in summer 2024.

Instagram user brick_clicker reports that four new LEGO Batman sets are coming to represent DC in 2024, including the return of the Bat-pod and a model based specifically on Batman: The Animated Series.

It may not be quite as big as LEGO Marvel’s rumoured list of sets for summer 2024, but for DC enthusiasts there may be a lot to look forward to. You should still take all rumours with caution until more is confirmed officially.

40748 8-in-1 Batman

Price: TBC Release date: Summer 2024

The previously-rumoured 8-in-1 Batman figure is now believed to be a BrickHeadz set, which may make sense for the concept. A ‘Go Brick Me’-style model with additional parts to attach to a BrickHeadz frame to mix and match Batman iterations could be appealing to all manner of Batman enthusiasts.

As this is rumoured to be a BrickHeadz, it won’t be included in the summary table at the bottom of this report, which only concerns sets rumoured to be part of the DC / Batman theme specifically.

76270 Batman Mech

Price: $14.99 Release date: Summer 2024

Batman is rumoured to be getting the mech treatment and it was only a matter of time. The LEGO superhero mechs have been limited to Marvel now but 76270 Batman Mech is reported to change that.

Looking at the other superhero mechs, don’t expect much more than Batman and possibly one additional minifigure accompanied by a black or maybe very dark grey mech – the hero’s preferred colour scheme according to The LEGO Movie.

76272 4+ Batcave

Price: $39.99 Release date: Summer 2024

It’s been a while since we received a LEGO Batcave targeted at a younger audience. 76272 4+ Batcave is rumoured to cost $39.99, putting 2014’s 10672 Batman: Defend the Batcave closest to it in terms of price.

It likely won’t be the most detailed Batcave ever, but at least we have 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box for that. Batman, Batgirl and Joker are rumoured to be the included minifigures.

76273 Bat-pod with buildable Batman figure

Price: $69.99 Release date: Summer 2024

The rare LEGO 5004590: Bat-Pod promotional item offered to a select few LEGO VIP members in 2015 may be getting a follow-up soon thanks to rumours of 76273 Bat-pod with buildable Batman figure.

76273 Bat-pod with buildable Batman figure is stated to cost $69.99 and it could be a combination of a model resembling the older set with a Dark Knight Trilogy version of 76259 Batman Construction Figure.

76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile

Price: $59.99 Release date: Summer 2024

The most exciting of the LEGO Batman 2024 rumours is 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile. Rumours suggest that this will be $59.99 and include Batman, Mr Freeze and Harley Quinn as minifigures – all likely based on the iconic animated series.

There have been several fan-designed depictions of this series’ Batmobile before (including from Brent Waller), but we may not have too much longer to wait for an official version.
