The accompanying gift-with-purchase for the LEGO Group's Black Friday release, 10335 The Endurance, has been officially revealed in full.
After a sneak peek in a LEGO Insiders email, 40729 Shackleton's Lifeboat has now been officially revealed with its own listing. That offers a closer look at the 232-piece set. It features two minifigures, along with the rescue lifeboat that was salvaged from the icebound ship Endurance.
It was this vehicle that was able to navigate treacherous Antarctic terrain and ultimately save the ship’s entire crew on their dangerous voyage. Sir Ernest Shackleton himself, along with photographer Frank Hurley, are depicted as minifigures, with various accessories including a camera, stove, oars, and a sleigh.
40279 Shackleton's Lifeboat will be free with all purchases of LEGO Icons 10335 The Endurance between November 29 and December 2, or while stocks last, which will be available to buy from November 29 for £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99.
