LEGO Black Friday 2021 freebie returns in the UK and Europe

One of this year’s LEGO Black Friday promos is available again in the UK and Europe, as 40484 Santa’s Front Yard returns with a £170 / €170 spend.

That’s the same threshold the 317-piece gift-with-purchase had across LEGO VIP Weekend and Black Friday last month, and what looks to be the new norm for meatier GWPs, given 31093 Riverside Houseboat – available until yesterday – had an equivalent required spend.

It means you’ll need to cough up a fair chunk of change to bring the festive freebie home, but it’s a nice bonus for December (which was set to be otherwise pretty barren) while you’re doing your Christmas shopping. And there are plenty of sets currently available at LEGO.com that will instantly take you over that threshold anyway, from 76240 Batmobile Tumbler to 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens.

You can check out our review of 40484 Santa’s Front Yard here to see if it’s worth splashing the cash for (spoiler alert: yes). It’ll be available with qualifying purchases until December 24, or while stocks last – which, if last year’s Black Friday promo 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute is anything to go by, will probably be for a good while yet.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
