LEGO Ideas 21353 Botanical Garden showcases new flower elements
With over 35 different species inside, 21353 The Botanical Garden includes two new flower elements created specifically for the LEGO Ideas set.
One of next week’s major set releases will be 21353 The Botanical Garden, a 3,792-piece LEGO Ideas model based on a submission by fan designer Valentina Bima. The upcoming build arrives on November 1 for LEGO Insiders members, with a wider launch for all from November 4.
21353 The Botanical Garden sits on a pair of 32×32 baseplates and is a two-storey construction that features a Victorian-style atrium, removable atrium roofs, 12 unique minifigures and more than 35 plant and flower species located both inside and out.

In fact, the LEGO Ideas design team seems to have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to fill 21353 The Botanical Garden with as many of plants, trees and flowers as they could, with a bewildering array of brick-built vegetation based on all manner of diverse breeds.
Those include date palm, eucalyptus tree, Japanese maple, ice cream tulip, purple hydrangea, bird of paradise, anthurium, pitcher plant, cactus and many others. To add plenty of variety to 21353 The Botanical, the LEGO Ideas design team also included two new flower pieces specifically made for the set: roses and tulips.

“It was fun to create so many tiny plants,” said LEGO Ideas lead designer, Chris McVeigh. “The addition of two new flower elements meant that I could design LEGO flowers no one had ever seen before.”
According to New Elementary, although the rose piece was developed for 21353 The Botanical Garden, it technically first appeared in different hues in 75683 Glinda & Elphaba’s Dormitory and 76780 Wednesday Addams Figure. The part looks to pop up in at least five different colours in the upcoming LEGO Ideas set, alongside new yellow and pink tulip pieces.

Element designer Nicola Belfiore added: “It was fun to expand our library of flower elements. I’m very excited to see how they will be used in the future!”
21353 The Botanical Garden arrives early on November 1 exclusively for LEGO Insiders, with everyone else able to pick up the set from November 4. All purchases of the LEGO Ideas model from November 1 to November 7 will also receive a free 5009005 Entrance Gate GWP, while stocks last.
