After endless bouquets, some wall mounts and an assortment of potted plants, it’s incredible to see that LEGO Botanicals can still manage to innovate. 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is one of the latest examples of this, leaning into hanging plants for the first time in the theme.

It adds a dynamic nature to LEGO Botanicals, the likes of which flower arrangements and customisable wall displays were never able to achieve. 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos takes this experience and both amplifies and simplifies it with more posing options, but ones that can be achieved easily and elegantly.
There’s little fear about knocking leaves off the stems in 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos; it’s easy to manage the LEGO plant and make it look exactly how you’d like. You wouldn’t expect the model to be so sturdy based on its appearance, but it’s a fairly solid structure.

As suggested by the name, 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is a hanging plant. The instructions offer two different builds for the set, one with two longer stems and one with all four stems at the same length. I opted for the latter based on where I want to place it in my home, but it’s easy and quick to switch between them.
Giving you this extra option means that 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos can hang as much or as little as you like. Whether you want them on top of a cupboard with LEGO leaves hanging down or a lush natural centrepiece, this set comes with a diverse variety of display options. You can even take the white pot off the wooden stand.

As far as the visuals are concerned, 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is unlike anything else in LEGO Botanicals. From the ornate white pot and wooden stand to overflowing greenery aesthetics, this build is something special that you’ll want to display proudly in your home.
Leaves with variegation add an extra splash of colour to the predominantly green build, helping to balance the set’s visuals compared to the typically contrasting colours in LEGO Botanicals sets. Dare we say, it’s the most accurate-looking LEGO Botanicals set so far.

It’s not all good news when it comes to the visuals, though. Look closely, and you’ll see a myriad of gaps in the soil. This is to accommodate the curved slopes that top the white pot. There’s no perfect solution for filling in the gaps in the current parts portfolio, but there has to be a better fix than leaving so many large gaps.
That’s the only negative we can spot in the set’s build, though. Everything else works well with one another to make up a convincing plant recreation. The bad news unfortunately continues when it comes to the price, which is beyond the scope of the design.

£54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 is by no means abysmal for the overall size of the plant, but with so many gaps between the leaves and stems, it doesn’t feel like it should be more than £45. LEGO Botanicals doesn’t always carry the most generous prices, and 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos isn’t the worst case so far.
Despite this, we’d recommend looking for a sale to pick up this set. Around 10% to 15% should do the trick, so keep it in mind for the next double points event.

Acknowledging some flaws, 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is still a standout LEGO Botanicals release for 2026, offering something so drastically different from what is starting to become a formulaic theme. With its abundance of natural posing options and simplistic build, 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is worth a look and will hopefully hang around for a while.
11512 Hanging Golden Pothos will be available from August 1, 2026, for £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 and is worth your attention with a small, but nominal discount.
