LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 crowdfunding is now open
The five sets from the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 are now available for pre-order, ranging from tiny detailed builds to larger modular-style sets.
Five different fan-designed LEGO sets are now ready to pre-order, only available in strictly limited quantities. Each of the five models will need to secure at least 3,000 pre-orders in order to enter production, with a maximum of 30,000 available to buy (and a limit of two of each set per household).
Here’s a reminder of each of the sets currently available to pre-order.

Any of the sets that hit the minimum crowdfunding target will begin shipping roughly six months from now. It’s worth noting, however, that BrickLink notes that ‘actual dates and shipping times may vary’. First reviews of all five models highlight that the sets are well worth a closer look, even if there are certain techniques that aren’t quite in line with what you’d expect from mainstream LEGO sets. At the end of the day, these are still official products, seeing as BrickLink is owned by the LEGO Group, and the small tweaks and changes we’ve seen are evidence that quality testing has sparked some adaptations.

If these sets are a little too large for your liking, you can still get in on the fun with the winners of BrickLink’s Mini-Build contest.
