BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 Mini-Build winners revealed

The five builds from the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 just got that bit cuter – and more affordable – with the reveal of the Mini-Build competition winners.

Last month, BrickLink opened the doors for a competition attached to Series 1 of the Designer Program, challenging builders to create miniature versions of each of the finalists, set to go out for pre-order in their full sizes later today. Now, however, you can already see the winners of the Mini-Build competition, each rendering the most important features of the larger sets in builds smaller than 300 pieces, from the sweeping towers the Mountain Fortress to a tiny stud-sized snack in the Mini Snack Shack.

There are 133 other creations that were submitted that didn’t make the cut, which you can find by scrolling down on the page here. Despite all being based on the same five builds, there’s a surprising amount of creativity and variety in the dozens of submitted designs.

While the five winning Mini-Builds are not available to buy formally like their larger siblings, you can click through and buy the parts in a package via BrickLink, with the instructions and Studio files linked on each individual build page. Check out all the details of the Mini-Builds and their designers in the table below.
