LEGO Ideas second 2026 review welcomes two polar-opposite builds

Two more fan builds have hit the coveted 10K supporter mark in the second LEGO Ideas review of 2026, with one designed to blend seamlessly into your shelf display and another guaranteed to stand out.

In total, 36 projects have now reached the milestone, with submissions remaining open until September 7. Any fan-designed project that hits 10,000 supporters is eligible for review, with the possibility of becoming an official LEGO set.

First up is a design that will appeal strongly to LEGO Botanicals fans: j_abricks’ Hanging Basket.

LEGO Botanicals has rapidly become one of the LEGO Group’s most popular themes, and this build would sit comfortably within the range. 

Inspired by the theme itself, the designer created a weaved basket intended to be displayed from a height. It features a slightly larger-than-32x32 baseplate footprint and stands 16 bricks tall, although no estimated piece count has been provided.

On the other end of the spectrum is TP Workshop’s Toaster Bakery, a highly inventive concept that is exactly what its name suggests: a bakery shaped like a toaster.

Built using over 2,000 pieces, the model spans two floors. The ground level houses a dessert and pastry shop, while the upper floor contains a kitchen and lounge area. The set also includes eight minifigures: two chefs, two shop workers, and four customers.

Both designs succeed in very different ways. The Hanging Basket would sit naturally alongside existing LEGO Botanicals sets, while the Toaster Bakery stands out as a more whimsical, imaginative concept that leans into playful design.

We’ll likely have to wait until early 2027 to find out whether either of these projects –  alongside the other 34 builds that have reached the 10K supporter milestone – are approved for production.
