LEGO BrickLink Series 5 increased capacities confirmed
The official website has confirmed the increased capacity of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets, and which ones are affected.
Series 5 of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program is off to a fast-selling start, even after the LEGO Group promised to increase capacity for this series specifically, but it was never stated by how much the stocks would be increased.
Thankfully, by inspecting the HTML of the BrickLink website, we can see precisely how many copies of each set can be sold at most, and which two builds have had their capacity increased.
Only the Adventure in Transylvania and Popcorn Wagon models have had their capacity increased at all, increased from the usual 30,000 copies each to a staggering 40,000 and 34,000, respectively. The Thieves of Tortuga is notably absent from the capacity increases, despite its immediate popularity as the second-fastest set to be funded at the minimum level to be made.
There might not be any LEGO Castle models in the fifth series of the BrickLink Designer Program, but that hasn’t stopped two sets from following in the footsteps of Siege Encampment and Medieval Seaside Market. Both Adventure in Transylvania and The Thieves of Tortuga are well on their way to being completely sold out, most likely before the end of the day.
At the time of writing, the Adventure in Transylvania set is in the lead by far, at around 80% of its stock already being allocated after less than two hours since pre-orders started. The Thieves of Tortuga is approximately 75% of the way to being sold out, and the Popcorn Wagon is at nearly 50%.
There’s still time to secure all five sets in Series 5, but at this rate, you’ll want to act before the day is over to ensure you can secure a copy of Adventure in Transylvania and The Thieves of Tortuga. Stay tuned for more LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 updates as the round progresses.

Increasing the number of sets to this level is a good way to crash the resale value but should keep scalpers away.
If LEGO doesn’t want customers to miss out, should they integrate the designer program as a permanent brand in their products line with similar shelf life?
The demand on Bricklink is for specific products, for a narrow audience in limited amounts, should they stick to this formula?
Currently, Adventure in Transylvania is set to 50,000 max.
Thieves of Tortuga is set to 40,000 max.
The other three are set to 30,000 max.
Maybe they changed the Popcorn Wagon back to 30,000.
