LEGO BrickLink Series 7 sets removed from online store

After being briefly highlighted on the official online store for the first time ever, the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 7 sets have been removed.

As the final day of crowdfunding comes to a close, the five Series 7 BrickLink Designer Program sets have been taken off the official online store. Earlier this week, the five models were briefly featured on the ‘New sets’ page on LEGO.com, alongside models available for standard purchase or pre-order.

This seemingly served to promote them to a more general audience, and clicking the blue buttons would take you to their respective pages on the BrickLink website to proceed with crowdfunding as normal.

After the three sets sold out earlier today, and with less than an hour of crowdfunding to go, the LEGO Group has pre-emptively removed these sets from LEGO.com, likely to avoid confusion after they are no longer available.

Such an outcome was inevitable, and we can only hope that the LEGO Group will employ a similar strategy for Series 8 and beyond to ensure that everyone sees these limited-edition models. For now, there’s still time to pre-order both 910063 W.A.L.T. and 910061 Antique Collection before crowdfunding for Series 7 ends at 8:00pm UK time.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
