LEGO Bricktales is coming to PC as more details are revealed

More details for the upcoming LEGO Bricktales game have been revealed on the official website, including the news that it’s coming to Steam.

Thunderful Games have added LEGO Bricktales to their website after its announcement last night, March 24, including the first information regarding platforms that it will be available on and more regarding the overarching story of the title.

LEGO Bricktales will be coming to Steam on PC later this year, and the store page is live now for anyone who might like to wishlist it. The Steam page also reveals that the game will have a sandbox mode where you can improve your build with bricks from different themes. Whether or not this game will come to consoles and other platforms in the future has not been confirmed.

As for what that new information on the Thunderful Games website is, the story of LEGO Bricktales will revolve around the player’s genius inventor grandfather and his amusement park, which you’ll need to fix up the lands and attractions using alien technology and travel the world to pick up resources.

The key art for the game hints at the amusement park with a roller coaster and you’ll even be able to customise the rides, presumably with various pieces. You’ll also be able to create a unique character with parts available at the start and more scattered throughout the game.

It’s sounding like LEGO Bricktales will be more extensive than LEGO Builder’s Journey, with the two games looking similar in design and concept. No release date has been announced just yet, though we know it will release in 2022.
