LEGO City January 2026 sets revealed – construction, coast guard and more

The first images of the LEGO City January 2026 sets have landed online, covering everything from police and fire to construction, coast guard and a new Rides subtheme.

Early December is LEGO 2026 reveal season, and that includes City’s upcoming models. JB Spielwaren has published images of 21 more sets on the way in January, in addition to yesterday’s two March 2026 reveals. Check them all out below, but note that only Euro prices are confirmed for now – any other prices are only rumoured at the time of writing. Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for confirmation of international prices later today.

60478 Cement Mixer

Price: $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 371 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60478 Cement Mixer

Cement mixers are a mainstay in LEGO City, but it’s been more than five years since the last one turned up on shelves. 60478 Cement Mixer looks like the best yet, with a colour scheme that ties it to the recent construction subtheme, intelligent colour blocking and three minifigures in the box.

60479 Police Prisoner Transport Van

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 198 Release date: January 1, 2026

60479 LEGO Gefangenentransporter

This driver’s not having a great day, is he? There’s a breakout going on in his van and he’s got no backup to help. (Other LEGO Police sets sold separately.) 60479 Police Prisoner Transport Van looks like a fun setup for any LEGO city, and both the van and accompanying motorcycle are well-conceived. Bonus points for the wanted poster, too.

LEGO City Rides subtheme

Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 Pieces: Assorted Release date: January 1, 2026

A new LEGO City subtheme named ‘Rides’ is coming in 2026, kicking off with four sets. Each build looks to include a chibi-fied vehicle driven by a LEGO baby, and the box art implies they’ll have some sort of pull-back function. (At least, that’s what we’re taking from those speed lines.) 60481 Police Truck, 60482 Fire Engine, 60483 Loader and 60484 Gaming Car will retail for €9.99 apiece.

60485 Hot Rod

Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 Pieces: 81 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60485 Hot Rod

Look at this cool guy. You can tell he’s cool because he’s wearing a leather jacket, a t-shirt with a mean-looking pup on it and, er, drives a hot rod. The purple and green colour scheme in 60485 Hot Rod is giving major Joker vibes, so fingers crossed he doesn’t accidentally drive into a vat of chemicals.

60486 EV Supercar

Price: $9.99 / €9.99 Pieces: 109 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60486 EV Supercar

LEGO City loves its angles lately, and the striking line that cuts between red and black in 60486 EV Supercar really gives this 109-piece model some edge (not to mention those spicy red rims at the back). An easy impulse buy next time you’re wandering the LEGO Store

60487 Yellow Taxi

Price: $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 122 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60487 Yellow Taxi

60487 Yellow Taxi is another city staple excellently executed here, from its front and rear seats crammed into a six-wide car to its LEGO Movie reference with the sign on top. You could easily grab a few of these to scatter around your city.

60488 Fries Food Truck

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 216 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60488 Fries Food Truck

LEGO City’s food trucks have been among its best sets of late, and it’s keeping that hot streak going with 60488 Fries Food Truck. The colour blocking is once again on point (as it is across most of these sets), the yellow crystal piece for fries is as smart as it ever was, and the detachable food stall gives it a little additional versatility.

60489 Jet vs. Car

Price: $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 259 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60489 Jet vs. Car

Determined to answer the age-old question of which would win in a race, a jet or a car, is the imaginatively-titled 60489 Jet vs. Car. You can see Chris Stamp’s LEGO Speed Champions influence all over this car, but it’s still hard to see it outpacing a jet.

60490 Snowplough

Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 263 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60490 Snowplough

Timed perfectly for winter (at least in the northern hemisphere – sorry to everyone south of the equator), 60490 Snowplough is another well-realised and effective government service vehicle from LEGO City. You could even pop it in your Winter Village for a bit of added realism…

60491 Motorcycle Transporter

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 88 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60491 Motorcycle Transporter

This 4+ LEGO City build is naturally a little simpler than most of its contemporaries, but the pair of bikes look neat and the colour scheme really pops. Fingers crossed the bike shells pop up on Pick a Brick at some point…

60495 Recycling Truck

Price: TBC Pieces: 434 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60495 Recycling Truck 1024x1024

Another LEGO City mainstay that’s heading to new heights in January 2026, 60495 Recycling Truck looks like it features an inventive tipping mechanism within its efficient and effective build. The price has yet to be confirmed on this one.

60498 Tractor

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 204 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60498 Tractor

LEGO City’s first 2026 wave is also heading out to the farm with 60498 Tractor, a clean build that makes strong use of the LEGO Group’s variously-sized tyres, a cool teal colour palette and even a mech chest armour piece around the front. It does feel like a missed opportunity for an animal or two, though.

60499 Airport Fire Engine

Price: $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 691 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60499 Airport FIre Engine

You can’t have an airport (spoilers for further down) without something to put out potential plane-related blazes, so here comes 60499 Airport Fire Engine to save the day. Most of its 691 pieces are poured into the truck itself, so the fire itself is relegated to a few flame pieces on boat tiles.

60500 The LEGO Van

Price: $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 276 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60500 The LEGO Van

Remember last year’s 60440 LEGO Delivery Truck? It’s back, in van form! 60500 The LEGO Van continues LEGO City’s meta streak with a way to get LEGO sets to your minifigures, complete with what looks to be printed tiles featuring a variety of recent LEGO City sets.

60502 Airport With Airplane

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 887 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60502 Airport with Airplane

What were we saying a moment ago about an airport? 60502 Airport With Airplane makes clever use of some of the larger pieces in the LEGO portfolio to realise a pretty large terminal with only 887 elements – and some of those are used for its accompanying aircraft, too.

60503 Coast Guard Helicopter

Price: $64.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 551 Release date: January 1, 2026

60503 LEGO Hubschrauber der Kuestenwache

The coast guard is back in a big way in 2026, with two of the largest sets in the January wave. 60503 Coast Guard Helicopter consists of a larger helicopter to rescue a stranded minifigure – who’s coming perilously close to being shark food – using the provided winch.

60504 Coast Guard Rescue Boat

Price: £89.99 / $109.99 / €109.99 Pieces: 742 Release date: January 1, 2026

LEGO City 60504 Coast Guard Rescue Boat

The bigger of the two LEGO coast guard 2026 sets is 60504 Coast Guard Rescue Boat, which includes not one, not two, but three boats that (get this) all float. The dinghy on fire is trademark LEGO City humour, while details like the life preserver from 71051 Series 28 Animals and a rescue dog lift this 742-piece set up another notch.

60505 Airplane, Service Truck & Hovercraft Remix

Price: $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 990 Release date: January 1, 2026

60505 LEGO Kombinationsset mit Flugzeug Wartungsfahrzeug und Luftkissenboot

60505 Airplane, Service Truck & Hovercraft Remix is LEGO City’s latest mix-and-match model, allowing you to mix parts of three vehicles into crazy creations the likes of which you’d never see in a city.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Goodness me, but i didn’t know I needed a Crazy88 minifigure collection until I saw the Prisoner Transport truck.
The hovercraft is great, the Coast Guard rescue dinghy makes me wonder if there has ever been an astronaut splashdown set, the Lego van is going on my wishlist, and the taxi with it.
