Massive wave of LEGO City models rumoured for early 2026
The LEGO City theme may be getting a huge expansion early next year, with as many as 22 models said to be on the way in January 2026.
Faithful LEGO City fans have recently been able to enjoy the arrival of multiple Formula 1 models so far this year, with the long-running theme welcoming the likes of 60442 F1 Driver with McLaren Race Car, 60464 F1 Williams Racing & Haas F1 Race Cars and 60474 F1 Grid with VCARB & Sauber Race Cars to its line-up of sets.
While there hasn’t been any official confirmation of more LEGO Formula 1 releases so far, a Reddit post from the usually-dependable Clay_Bricks (reposting information from BrickMerge) is hinting that the first wave of LEGO City releases for 2026 may be just as massive.
Initial details reveal that as many as 22 new LEGO City builds might be launching next January, with product numbers and some price points being put forward. At this stage there are no hints as to exactly what those mystery models may be, but most appear to be fairly small and affordable sets.
It’s possible that a number of those LEGO City launches might be based around F1 though, with the LEGO Group and Formula 1 having signed up for a multi-year partnership last year. Having said that, we suspect that quite a few of the 2026 releases will offer up plenty of non-racing builds to its core target audience, although that’s just speculation on our part.
Of course, any such rumours regarding potential LEGO City launches for 2026 should be treated with caution for now until we hear otherwise.
