Every LEGO City set retiring in 2023 and beyond – July update
One of this summer’s LEGO City sets is now slated to retire by the end of 2023, following in the footsteps of last year’s short-lived 60347 Grocery Store.
60398 Family House and Electric Car only arrived on shelves in the UK and Europe in June, and has yet to actually launch in the US (it’s slated for an August 1 release across the pond) – but according to Brick Fanatics’ sources, will now leave production before the end of 2023. That means you’ll only have a few short months to add the 462-piece set to your collection.
It’s well worth doing so if only for the rarity that the model represents within the LEGO City theme – check out our review for more on that – but 60398 Family House and Electric Car isn’t the only LEGO City set worth prioritising in the second half of 2023. A total of 43 different models are due to leave shelves by the end of the year, including one of the oldest City sets still in production in 60253 Ice-Cream Truck.
The rest of the current LEGO City portfolio will be gone by the end of 2024 as things stand, meanwhile – although chances are good that at least some of these sets will ebb and flow over the next six to 12 months. Check back with Brick Fanatics for regular updates, and remember that these dates aren’t set in stone: products listed here could conceivably sell out weeks or even months before their respective end-of-life dates.
