LEGO Classic Space to welcome more new colours this summer

Alongside new Castle factions, LEGO Classic Space minifigure collectors will need to keep their eyes on two summer 2025 sets soon.

Within the many new summer 2025 LEGO sets from across a wide variety of themes are a handful of pieces that will be essential for Classic Space enthusiasts. Following the dark blue Classic Space torso in the LEGO Store minifigure tower last year, 71499 Mateo’s Spray Paint Truck will finally complete this astronaut.

A Dreamling in the set wearing a dark blue helmet and an air tank. Combine those with any common dark blue hands and legs, and you’ll have a complete astronaut to add to the collection. The LEGO DREAMZzz set launches on June 1, but full pricing has yet to be confirmed.

LEGO Friends 42674 Comic Book and Game Shop won’t just be appealing to LEGO Castle fans, but it might have revealed the winner of a LEGO Ideas fan vote as well. The summer 2025 mini-doll model is focused on all things nerdy and fantastical, including science fiction. It’s home to a new bright bluish green Classic Space helmet, but no air tanks.

As well as starting a new colour of Classic Space astronaut, it’s worth noting that this exact colour (complete with torso and air tanks) was proposed in a fan vote for the LEGO Ideas Minifigure Prize Machine. The results of that fan vote and the final set have yet to be confirmed, but this might be a sign of things to come.

The LEGO Friends set launches on June 1 as well, and we’re similarly awaiting the full details from LEGO.com. The LEGO Ideas Minifigure Prize Machine is confirmed to be on the way, though a final release date for it is currently unknown. For now, we can look forward to at least one new and complete LEGO Classic Space astronaut minifigure this summer.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
