LEGO.com opens Technic 42100 Liebherr R R 9800 Excavator for pre-orders in the US

Fans in the USA can pre-order the incredible new LEGO Technic set, 42100 Liebherr R R 9800 Excavator.

LEGO Technic devotees in the USA can pre-order the new set that will overshadow others in the theme, 42100 Liebherr R R 9800 Excavator. The set can be ordered now and will ship by October 1, the release date for the impressive 4,108 piece model.

42100 Liebherr R R 9800 Excavator utilises the LEGO Technic version of Powered UP, CONTROL+, which includes two new Smart Hubs. Each one can drive up to four engines, with 42100 packing seven engines into its frame in total. The functionality will enable users to drive the model back and forth, steer the vehicle, rotate the body, raise and lower the boom and open and tilt the bucket.

If the piece count does not make it sound big enough, the finished model measures 39 cm high, 65 cm long and 27 cm wide.
