LEGO confirms Super Mario 2024 change with new listings
Both of the brand new LEGO Super Mario 2024 sets are now listed on LEGO.com, confirming their international pricing – and the biggest change to the theme since 2020.
71429 Nabbit at Toad’s Shop and 71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure were initially unveiled by German retailer JB Spielwaren earlier this week, but are now both listed at LEGO.com. With that official reveal comes new images, confirmation of each set’s pricing around the world, more details on their contents and – crucially – verification of the theme’s revolutionary new feature, a phrase which here means ‘printed instructions’.
Every single LEGO Super Mario set (beyond the 18+ range) has so far only include a small pamphlet pointing builders to the theme’s app, where digital building instructions can be found to assemble the model. The boxes for both of these new expansion packs specifically advertise the ability to build with either digital or physical instructions, however, corroborating early conclusions drawn from their lifestyle images.
Both of these sets launch on January 1, 2024 in the UK and Europe, but will be available to buy on December 1, 2023 in the US. Check out all the info and images below.

Marking the return of a character last seen in 2022’s Character Packs – Series 5, 71429 Nabbit at Toad’s Shop includes buildable figures of both Nabbit and Yellow Toad. They’re accompanied by Toad’s shop, which is crammed with accessories – including an ice-cream dispenser and furnace (best not put those too close together), toys, food and even a shopping trolley. Mario, Luigi and Peach can stomp on the action tag to eat the food, or interact with Nabbit’s buildable bag to earn digital items.
71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure

Timed perfectly for the holiday season, this is as close to a festive LEGO Super Mario set as you’re going to get – and it’s mainly thanks to the adorable ‘winter hat’ the Goomba is rocking. (You can call it a ‘winter hat’, TLG, but this is clearly Santa Goomba.) 71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure also includes adult and baby penguins, an ice slide and an ice cave. The digital figures can earn rewards for reuniting the penguins and defeating the Goomba.
