LEGO Creator Expert 10276 Colosseum on backorder already – Black Friday deals

LEGO Creator Expert 10276 Colosseum launched yesterday – and it’s already on backorder at LEGO.com.

The largest LEGO set ever has clearly proved popular despite its eye-watering entry price, because current orders won’t ship until January 19, 2021. That’s in the UK, anyway – in the US, it’s marked as ‘temporarily out of stock’, so you can’t place an order at all.

The 9,036-piece 10276 Colosseum debuted yesterday, retailing for £449.99 / $549.99. Early adopters were rewarded with a Roman Chariot gift-with-purchase, but it seems that stock of that freebie has also now run out.

Today’s featured VIP reward is 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, which you can redeem for 20,000 VIP points. That’s equivalent to £125 in VIP Rewards Vouchers, marking a £45 discount on its RRP.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
