LEGO designer manages to secure his place in Glastonbury history

Glastonbury 2025 may have been and gone, but one LEGO designer in attendance will remember the event for some time to come.

Last weekend saw the annual Glastonbury music festival roll around once again, complete with a stellar line-up of international music stars in attendance and over 200,000 visitors making the pilgrimage to the sunny Somerset location.

One of the latter included LEGO Harry Potter designer George Gilliatt, who’s posted details of exactly what he was up to at the event on his X (formerly Twitter) page. Although previously responsible for the likes of 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition, George was apparently at Glastonbury promoting another LEGO theme.

The designer posted images of himself holding up a LEGO Architecture flag featuring 21034 London, with the banner clearly promoting the 2017 skyline set. George was excited to announce that both he and the flag can also be spotted in the background crowd of American Singer Gracie Abrams’ set.

The daughter of film director J.J. Abrams, Gracie released her debut EP in 2020 and went on to win the American Music Award for New Artist of the Year earlier in 2025, with the singer performing on the Other Stage at Glastonbury on July 27.

George and the LEGO Architecture model can be seen in official images found on Gracie’s own X page, giving both the set and the theme a cheeky promotional boost, although it’s not exactly clear why the designer decided to take the opportunity to showcase that specific build.

Despite being launched eight years ago, 21034 London is still currently available to purchase, with the 468-piece LEGO Architecture set finally due to retire on December 31, 2026.
