LEGO releases designer video for 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90
LEGO designers and a Land Rover employee come together to discuss LEGO Icons 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90.
On the heels of its release on April 1, the designer video for 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90 features insight from several LEGO designers, as well as Matthew Bailey, Business Development Manager at Land Rover Classic. Together, they walk you through some of the features of the 2,336-piece set, including the three different versions of the car that are possible to build.
“The features on the LEGO model are incredibly authentic compared to the real vehicle,” comments Matthew. “People always talk about the car as ‘big LEGO’. It’s very modular, you can bolt things to it.

“When we were talking to the LEGO Design team initially, they were really keen to explore that modular nature of the build.”
The rest of the video dives into the set in more detail, from the new wheel arch element to how the adventure elements of the LEGO Icons models came to fruition. Watch it in full by clicking on the embed link above, or head to the LEGO Group’s YouTube channel.
