LEGO Disney 2024 Tangled set debuts new character

A new LEGO Disney Tangled set coming in 2024 has been revealed, debuting a brand new character in LEGO from the iconic film.

There have been many LEGO Tangled models and most recently, Flynn and Rapunzel featured as minifigures in 43222 Disney Castle. However, other characters from the animated movie have been rare, only including the occasional appearance of Maximus the horse and Pascal the chameleon.

Retailer Lucky Bricks has revealed that this is all about to change though as the upcoming 43241 Rapunzel’s Tower and the Snuggly Duckling Tavern will include the first-ever LEGO appearance of Mother Gothel as a mini-doll.

She features alongside what seems to be the same Rapunzel and Flynn mini-dolls as included in 43187 Rapunzel’s Tower as well as Pascal. This is also the first time that we’ve received a model for the Snuggly Duckling. The tower’s build is one of the biggest we’ve seen for the structure so far with an unfamiliar colour scheme for the LEGO Tangled sets.

The Snuggly Duckling seems to be able to unfold to have more space inside the tavern and the designers are taking some artistic license as it is equipped with a slide just outside. That play feature is accompanied by a zipline much like we saw in 43215 The Enchanted Treehouse.

The retailer’s listing has it at a price of €84.99 with 623 pieces with a release date of January 5, 2024. It has yet to appear on LEGO.com as only a limited selection (compared to what’s coming) of the 2024 models has appeared on the official online store at the time of writing.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
