LEGO Disney fans have plenty of options on National Stitch Day

With today being National Stitch Day (or 626 Day), LEGO Disney Fans can choose from a whole menagerie of potential extraterrestrial purchases.

It seems like there’s now a holiday for every day of the year, with fans of all kinds of IPs able to celebrate their love for everything from Star Wars and Ghostbusters to Aliens and Batman. That’s also true for 626 Day, officially recognised by Disney aficionados the world over as National Stitch Day.

The timing of this year’s event is all the more notable, considering the runaway box office success that Disney’s recent Lilo & Stitch has achieved. With over $914 million in the bank so far, the House of the Mouse’s gamble to translate its own 2002 hit animated movie into a live-action film definitely paid off.

The good news for Stitch fans is that there are also five LEGO Disney products available that are based on the blue-furred extraterrestrial experiment and the character’s world, all of which are currently in stock at LEGO.com in the UK, US and Europe at the time of this writing.

LEGO Disney sets include 43249 Stitch, a buildable version of the rascally alien, one that stands over 20cm tall, comes with multiple accessories and makes for the perfect companion piece to the recently-released 43257 Angel.

Fans looking for slightly more playability could always add 43268 Lilo and Stitch Beach House to their collections. The 834-piece model is packed with details and includes a two-storey brick-built surf residence, complete with spaceship and plenty of Easter eggs, plus minifigures of David, Lilo, Mr. Bubbles, Nani and Stitch.

Finally, those on a tight budget can always pick up 40674 Stitch and boost their LEGO BrickHeadz line-up or go for the 854319 Stitch Key Chain and carry Experiment 626 around with them to celebrate National Stitch Day in style.
