LEGO Disney rumour suggests the next perfect Mini Disney set

The rumoured 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is said to include a specific minifigure, suggesting the next perfect set for the range.

Instagram user  fateful_lego reports that the rumoured 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is to include the same Aurora minifigure that is currently exclusive to the retired 71038 Disney 100. It’s common for LEGO Mini Disney models to feature uncommon minifigures, though recently they have opted for mini-dolls or none at all.

Provided that this rumour is accurate, it could set a precedent that allows for an ideal subject for a Mini Disney model – Tiana’s Palace. The restaurant from The Princess and the Frog has already been depicted in 43246 Disney Princess Market Adventure, though its colour scheme and design don’t entirely reflect the movie (which makes sense in the context of the set).

A minifigure-scale Tiana’s Palace based on the animated movie may not be entirely realistic but the unique location could be captured at the same scale as the Mini Disney sets with a much smaller piece count. While it wouldn’t need a minifigure, Tiana as she appears in both 71038 Disney 100 and 43222 Disney Castle could be a good pick.

Rumour has it that another minifigure from 71038 Disney 100 is about to feature in a LEGO Mini Disney model, but the existence and details of 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle have yet to be confirmed at the time of writing. Take all reported information with caution.
