LEGO double VIP points starts today

From today through Sunday, you can score double VIP points on all LEGO purchases online and in-store.

That’s a very limited window to take advantage of twice the usual cashback at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores, but one that’s timed perfectly for Christmas shopping. Yes, okay, it’s going to mostly be a case of picking through what’s left, given so much is currently sold out online, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t sets worth grabbing this weekend.

For an idea of where to start, check out Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, which tracks all the best products currently available to buy online in the UK (even if they’re on back order). Top of the pile is 75313 AT-AT, which is miraculously still in stock on this side of the pond (it’s temporarily unavailable in the US, unfortunately).

Picking up the latest Ultimate Collector Series set on double VIP points will get you a cool £70 / €80 in discount vouchers to spend on future purchases, which is roughly four copies of 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack to fill your AT-AT with come January. Or you could opt for 75322 Hoth AT-ST and two battle packs (with a slight top-up in actual cash).

Head over to LEGO.com to check out what’s left to buy this Christmas, and make sure to place your order before end of play Sunday, December 12 to take advantage of double VIP points. If you’re not already signed up to the LEGO Group’s VIP program, there’s no better time to join than now: as well as double points, you’ll nab a free blue VIP keychain.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
