LEGO Easter 2022 gift-with-purchase revealed in Australian LEGO Store

A brand new promotional Easter set has turned up in a LEGO Certified Store, presumably pre-empting a wider release as a gift-with-purchase later this month.

Brickset has published the first image of set number 40527, which includes a colourful brick-built egg and two chicks. It’s apparently available at a LEGO Certified Store in Australia, although it’s not clear whether that’s as a gift-with-purchase or to buy outright.

Last year’s Easter gift-with-purchase, 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House, was available with orders above £60 / $60 / €60 online and in-store for the three weeks up to and including Easter Monday (April 5). Given Easter Monday falls on April 18 this year, the same schedule would see 40527 available from March 28.

LEGO Store calendars are unfortunately a thing of the past now, so we likely won’t find out for sure until a couple of days before the promo goes live at the earliest. That means we also don’t know what the required spend for this freebie will be if and when it does become available, but parity with last year would be welcome after a period of particularly high thresholds.

Case in point: available at LEGO.com right now is 40530 Jane Goodall Tribute, which you’ll need to spend at least £120 / $120 / €120 to pick up. That’s still less than 40532 Vintage Taxi’s £200 / $200 / €200 spend, though. Check out our review of 40530 Jane Goodall Tribute, then head to LEGO.com to secure your copy while stocks last.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
