LEGO expands Friends and NINJAGO sets with Play Stories

A new kind of LEGO book has surfaced, designed to expand on specific NINJAGO and Friends models and it’s available now.

Both 5007945 Play Stories and 5007946 Play Stories have been revealed on the US online store. Play Stories are a new type of LEGO book, designed to expand on the experience of a specific set. There are two at the time of writing. LEGO Friends5007945 Play Stories adds on to 41748 Heartlake City Community Center, which is named Rainbow Heights Community Center on the cover.

Similarly, 5007946 Play Stories for NINJAGO’s 71792 Sora’s Transforming Mech Bike Racer calls the set Sora’s Mech Bike. It seems likely that these were in-development names for the models, but the set numbers make it clear which set is for which book.

5007945 Play Stories has 17 pieces including an Aliya minifigure to add to Paisley, Liann, Olly, Nova, Zac and Stephanie in 41748 Heartlake City Community Center.

Considering that the set is already designed to expand with 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen featuring Leo, you can complete the new cast of mini-dolls with these two models and the book.

5007946 Play Stories expands on 71792 Sora’s Transforming Mech Bike Racer with a Lloyd minifigure to join Sora, Arin and Rapton.

5007945 Play Stories and 5007946 Play Stories cost $14.99 each and are available now in the US. Listings for the European and UK online stores have yet to go live, should they be available in these regions. Provided they don’t launch outside of the US, there are no exclusive parts in either book.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
