LEGO extends shelf life of retiring Star Wars, Batman and Icons sets

The LEGO Group has extended the shelf life of a variety of Star Wars, Batman and Icons sets that were previously scheduled to retire at the end of 2026.

76300 Arkham Asylum, 10307 Eiffel Tower and 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer are among the sets retiring in 2026 that have been pushed back to next summer, so you’ve now got until the end of July 2027 (at the very latest) to add them to your collection. The 10,001-piece Eiffel Tower has already received one extension this year, from July to December, and is apparently now selling well enough to justify another stay of execution.

The first and only LEGO DC modular building, meanwhile, was conspicuous for what was shaping up to be a relatively short shelf life – but will now enjoy just under two years in production. That’s still not incredibly long by direct-to-consumer set standards, so it’ll be interesting to see if it’s delayed again beyond July 2027. Other sets pushed back from 2026 include 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex and 43249 Stitch.

Elsewhere, a handful of sets originally due to retire in July next year have either been pushed back to the end of 2027 or pulled forward to the end of 2026. Among the latter is 75435 Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT, which is now on the chopping block for this year. Check out all the latest movers and shakers in the table below, and stay across every retiring LEGO set on our regularly-updated page.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
