LEGO hands an extra seven months on shelves to Star Wars, Harry Potter and Technic sets

The LEGO Group has extended the shelf life of a range of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Technic, Creator 3-in-1 and City sets by seven months.

While the list of LEGO sets retiring in 2024 is all but locked in by this point, the LEGO Group is busy shuffling around the production timelines of sets retiring in 2025 and beyond. The latest change sees a wide variety of sets from five different themes pushed back from a December 2025 exit to July 2026, giving them at least seven more months on shelves than originally planned.

Among those sets affected are 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit and 42165 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance Pull-Back, the latter of which will now survive past what’s expected to be the year of LEGO Formula 1 in 2025. Check out a full breakdown of every LEGO set with an extended production cycle below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
