A LEGO Collectible Race Cars sequel is rumoured to be lining up on the starting grid and said to arrive next year in the shape of 71055 F1 Series 2.
The LEGO Group and Formula 1 announced the start of a long-term partnership back in 2024, with the results of that collaboration including multiple sets such as 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars. Now a follow-up to those mini motors may be on the way and is rumoured to drop in the first half of next year.
A report from itsjustjoe (via Unibricks) suggests that 71055 F1 Series 2 might see the light of day sometime in April/May 2027, although there are no hints at this stage regarding potential piece counts, prices or what possible subject matter might be included.

71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars launched in 2025 and was based on the then-current livery of 10 cars from the Formula 1 teams including RB20, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Williams, VCARB, Sauber and Haas, plus an F1 car and an F1 Academy Car.
Each 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars build featured a tiny brick-built vehicle, complete with team logos, a driver’s helmet in the cockpit and moveable wheels, all delivered in blind box packaging and priced at £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99.

It’s anyone’s guess as to what potential content might be included in the rumoured 71055 F1 Series 2, although if we’re being purely speculative then updated Formula 1 cars with new livery would certainly seem to be a good way to go, as would F1 driver minifigures.
As usual, do be sure to treat all of the above information and speculation with a healthy dose of salt for now until we receive any sort of official confirmation regarding 71055 F1 Series 2.
