LEGO Fast & Furious scene recreations race to screens
The new LEGO Technic Fast & Furious car sets have been put to the test in some scene recreations available to watch right now.
A pair of new LEGO videos have surfaced on the official YouTube channel, dedicating time to recreate iconic and action-packed moments from the Fast & Furious franchise using 42210 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car and 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4.
The video is surprisingly faithful to the films, making great use of the scale of the Technic sets to recreate these scenes on a (presumably) smaller budget than the blockbuster films.
The LEGO Group has also released a behind-the-scenes video featuring the crew behind the new short film, showcasing storyboards, unedited footage and much more to take a look behind the curtain of making this impressive LEGO Technic video.
It also confirms that the filmmakers behind the video include Dino Julius and Luke Hrgovic, both with years of film and visual effects experience behind them.
This doesn’t appear to be the upcoming Fast & Furious video that we learned of from Tongal in 2024, as that will be centred around a female character, likely Suki from 77241 2 Fast 2 Furious Honda S2000.
While we wait for the animated video, you can watch the Technic movie scene recreation and the behind-the-scenes video by clicking on the embeds above. Both 42210 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Car and 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4 are available right now.
