LEGO Fortnite package teases storm and city for future update

Epic Games has sent out a mysterious LEGO Fortnite package celebrating 1 year of the mode while teasing what’s to come, including a city.

Crafty Plays LEGO Fortnite has received another package from the LEGO Fortnite team, which are usually sent out ahead of a new update to tease what’s to come. This time, the package serves an additional purpose, celebrating the first year of the mode and the community it has built.

Inside the package, a book box holds a Storm Glass and text teasing a storm as well as a QR code linking to a teaser with a silhouetted figure. Their outline is similar to the Storm King from the Save the World and Battle Royale modes, though this may be a coincidence or something similar.

While storms seem to be a major part of the next update based on this package, another part of the gift may be even more exciting. A custom backpack with multiple tags and a card accompanying it seems only to be celebrating the first anniversary of LEGO Fortnite, but consistently mentions a city.

There is no LEGO city in Fortnite and other characters only appear at camps. A city would likely play the role of a randomly-generated larger settlement for players to visit and the date teases something coming this month. We’ll have to see what comes from this part of the package, but it seems odd to mention a city so prominently unless it is teasing something.

Based on previous Fortnite updates, existing sets such as the Modular Buildings collection would be good base builds for a LEGO Fortnite city with interiors to boot. Alternatively, one of the rumoured LEGO Fortnite summer 2025 sets is believed to be the Durrr Burger restaurant which only appears in Battle Royale at the time of writing.

Similar to how 77073 Battle Bus launched at the same time as its debut in-game, not being based on Battle Royale after all, the rumoured summer set may follow in its footsteps with Durrr Burger being a part of the teased city area. That’s only speculation based on the rumour though and it should be taken with caution.

Stay tuned for more news on LEGO Fortnite as it comes as the mode celebrates its first anniversary with some kind of update on the horizon.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
