LEGO Friends’ Heartlake City residents love LEGO Art too

An interesting connection to another theme has been found in Friends’ largest set, proving that Heartlake City’s residents are fans of LEGO Art.

As spotted by legomoleshow, there’s an unexpected Easter egg in 41732 Downtown Flower and Design Stores, a set that is designed to inspire interior decoration in an empty apartment sing the furniture store next door.

There are a few collections of furniture in the muliti-storey shop with a bed, table, chairs and artwork in each. However, one piece of art may be familiar for LEGO Art enthusiasts. The vibrantly-coloured collection of furnishings has a work of art with three pink flowers with a yellow background. It’s unmistakeably the same design as in 31207 Floral Art, which was released just four months before this build.

This likely means that the design teams between LEGO Art and Friends have been discussing their work during the development process of these two sets, as the designs seem to close in appearance to be just a coincidence.

To take the reference one step further, you might prefer to place the sticker Easter egg on a white 2×2 tile rather than the intended blue brick, matching the white frame in 31207 Floral Art.
