The LEGO Group celebrates BTS’ 10th anniversary debut in style

It’s been almost 10 years since K-pop sensations BTS made their chart debut and the LEGO Group is celebrating the event in brick-built style.

It may be hard for some fans to believe, but it’s been nearly 10 years since international superstars BTS made their debut. The group first hit the Billboard chart in 2023 with ‘No More Dreams’ and has since gone on to sell millions of albums around the world, gained legions of followers and even appeared in minifigure form earlier this year in LEGO Ideas 21339 BTS Dynamite.

The South Korean sensations will be celebrating a decade of musical success next month with the BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA. The event will be open to the public, takes place on June 17 at Yeouido, Seoul and was announced last week via a teaser video with the slogan ‘BTS Presents Everywhere’ written across a purple sky.

The LEGO Group has been marking the upcoming 10th anniversary of BTS with posts on its social media platforms, celebrating the occasion with a suitable brick-based model. The ‘early gift’ to the band arrives in the form of a giant pink and purple cake build, with 21339 BTS Dynamite placed on top.

The LEGO Ideas set was revealed back in February 2023, with 21339 BTS Dynamite based on an original submission created by fan designers Josh Bretz and Jacob Twerski. The 749-piece model certainly seems to have been a popular set with its fans and has been in and out of stock on LEGO.com since launch.

BTS has been on hiatus recently, with individual band members pursuing their own solo careers. On July 9 the group plans to release Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS, a memoir written by Myeongseok Kang.
