40504 A Minifigure Tribute may not be the only big LEGO minifigure in 2023

While 40504 A Minifigure Tribute is exclusive to the LEGO House, a listing suggests that it won’t be the only upscaled minifigure in 2023. 

As part of a previous list of rumoured sets from German price comparison site brickmerge.de, a listing for 40649 Large LEGO Minifigure surfaced, said to feature 654 pieces with a release window of June 2023. 

This listing surfaced before 40504 A Minifigure Tribute was revealed as the latest LEGO House exclusive set, launching on March 1, 2023, for 599 DKK with 1,041 pieces.

While the listing has yet to be officially confirmed by the LEGO Group, it suggests that there could be an alternative to 40504 A Minifigure Tribute. Whether it could be more widely available to the LEGO House exclusive is unknown. 

The listed piece count of 654 pieces is much less than either of the giant minifigures in either 76393 Harry Potter and Hermione Granger or 40504 A Minifigure Tribute at 1,673 bricks for two builds in the former and 1,041 parts in the latter.

Considering the potential piece count compared to official sets this large minifigure from the listing could be a basic minifigure build instead of any specific character with little to no included accessories. 

That could make it similar to the LEGO Originals 853967 Wooden Minifigure with the intent to customise the build with additional parts, also like the only LEGO Originals set.
