The history of LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner is rooted in the deep past of LEGO Castle
The designers who worked on LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner have revealed its historical ties to another set way back in the LEGO canon.
As well as the various stories told within sets from the Modular Building Collection – like the cat-loving lady and soot-spreading chimney sweep in 10350 Tudor Corner – the latest entry to the collection adds an unexpected chapter to the lore of the LEGO Castle theme. A long-standing favourite among fans, the LEGO Icons set is a peek into a possible future of one location from the now-defunct theme.
“The name of the establishment is ‘The Old Guarded Inn,'” explained LEGO graphic designer Ashwin Visser. “For LEGO fans, that’s actually a very deep cut to an old LEGO set called the Guarded Inn, which was a medieval Castle set.
“We played with the idea of ‘what if that old set has been grown out over centuries into this building that we see here now today.”
The ‘old set’ in question is 6067 Guarded Inn, a predominantly red and grey building that features four minifigures. With centuries separating the two inns within the LEGO lore, one could easily have grown into the other over the years.

There are even some colours tying the two sets together, with the red bricks of 6067 Guarded Inn holding a similarity to the dark red roof in 10350 Tudor Corner. That’s pretty much where the similarities end, however – although the jaunty angle of the lower level of the modular building does suggest that it’s a building that’s been slowly expanded over the years.
