LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk sells out yet again

LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk has once again sold out at the official online LEGO store – despite ongoing shipping restrictions.

France’s recent border closure has resulted in a huge backlog of shipments coming into the UK, forcing the LEGO Group to suspend its standard delivery. You can still place your order, though – there’s just no guarantee it will arrive any time soon.

That seemingly hasn’t stopped LEGO fans gobbling up the company’s limited stock of sets inspired by the classic sitcom Friends, however, as 21319 Central Perk has once again sold out at LEGO.com. It’s only been in stock since December 21 after selling out a week earlier, proving the 1,070-piece model is still as popular as ever – even in the current circumstances.

Of course, if you’re itching for a LEGO fix, there’s always express delivery, which uses air (rather than road) freight – and can therefore still go ahead as normal. But the LEGO Group says even that option will take longer than usual, and given it’s a flat fee of £21, you may prefer just to wait for standard delivery to resume.

Thankfully, the ability to add your order to the company’s presumably ever-growing queue means you can still take advantage of the sets that are in stock. I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
