The One Where LEGO Ideas 21319 Central Perk Sells Out Again

So no-one told you life was gonna be this way: you’re job’s a joke, you’re broke, and LEGO 21319 Central Perk has sold out yet again.

The Friends-inspired Ideas set has bounced in and out of stock at LEGO.com more times than Ross has been engaged, and it’s now once again marked as temporarily unavailable. Like many LEGO sets, the 1,070-piece model is proving very difficult to get hold of in 2020 – and with good reason, because it’s fantastic.

Unfortunately, its temporary departure from the online LEGO shop also means it has to temporarily depart Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List. We’re sure it’ll be back – according to our sources, it’s not due to retire until late 2021 – but you might miss out in time for Christmas.

The same is unfortunately true of 2020’s modular building, 10270 Bookshop, which has also sold out at LEGO.com. Like 21319 Central Perk, it too will be back – but possibly not before the next entry in the long-running series, 10278 Police Station, arrives on January 1. Don’t forget to check out our review of that upcoming set, along with five ingenious building techniques you’ll find inside.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
