LEGO Ideas 21332 The Globe launches worldwide

You can now go around the world in 2,585 bricks with the newly-released LEGO Ideas 21332 The Globe, available worldwide from today.

No matter where you are in the world, the latest LEGO Ideas set should now be available to order (provided LEGO.com caters to your country). That’s assuming it hasn’t sold out immediately, of course, although the LEGO Group does seem to have a better handle on its inventory than it did in the midst of the Black Friday and Christmas shopping season.

Building into a spinning sphere that hooks into an elegant and vintage stand, 21332 The Globe represents something once again brilliantly unique for the LEGO Group, as the Ideas line so often delivers. And while the build experience may not be the greatest – check out our review for more – the final model is one that’s still worthy of your precious shelf space.

It will also demand a good chunk of your LEGO budget, of course, coming in at £174.99 in the UK, $199.99 in the US and €199.99 in Europe. That will bring you tantalisingly close to the spend threshold for 40532 Vintage Taxi, however, which is free with orders above £200 / $200 / €200 until February 13 (or while stocks last).

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
