Even after the relatively recent price rises and with LEGO Ideas' history of more expensive models,
"I think that for all that you get here with this thing as well as the functionality of the camera, I do think it's worth $80," Alex Nunes said in what appears to be an unpopular opinion.
Others believe that the camera recreation is too expensive even when considering the piece count, licensing costs and the value that the Polaroid brand name brings to such a model.
"Even though this camera is super accurate and well-designed, it definitely doesn't feel like $80 and that's a big downside to this set," commented Solid Brix Studios.
Echoing the sentiment, Tiago Catarino said, "Looking at the 500-piece count, I figured this would be a $60 product but boy was I wrong. It will retail for $80 on January 1 which is crazy expensive and totally surprised me."
