Make an army of LEGO Orcs for Minas Tirith with Pick a Brick

You don't need dozens of the Grond gift-with-purchase, after all

Make an army of LEGO Orcs for Minas Tirith with Pick a Brick

LEGO The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith is out now with two orcs in a gift-with-purchase, and making an army to go with them is easy using Pick a Brick.

Of the many new minifigures in LEGO Icons 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith, you won't find any orcs to attack the guarded city. You can find a couple of orc minifigures in the limited-time 40893 The Lord of the Rings: Grond gift-with-purchase, and some in the similarly expensive 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dur.

Even getting both of those sets will only net you seven orc minifigures, which isn't going to be enough to properly overtake Minas Tirith. Thankfully, you can make some stand-in orc minifigures with parts available on Pick a Brick.

Here are some of the best pieces we've found to make decent orc minifigures to fill in the battlefield next to 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith.

Heads

As far as heads go, there are two good options for orc minifigures. 6538820 from 31167 Haunted Mansion is one option with a roughly correct shade of green. Alternatively, Monkie Kid's 6482890 head is a brighter shade of green but with a suitably monstrous and intimidating expression.

Hair

Any black hair that shows off the full facial features of your orc minifigures' heads will work on top of the heads, but these are some of the best options currently available.

Torso

The following three torsos will work well for orc minifigures, featuring either shades of green for the orc's skin or fantasy aspects that will work well in a The Lord of the Rings setting.

Legs

Legs from LEGO Castle, or anything brown, are your best bets for matching legs for orc minifigures, but you'll want to stick to a darker colour scheme to fit Sauron's army.

Accessories

Don't forget to level up your orc minifigures with various accessories, from weapons and shields to armour. This includes the original Uruk-Hai sword, which has remained in production since The Lord of the Rings theme's end.
