The LEGO House hosted an event for the 26th International Bugatti Meeting earlier this summer, where attendees received an ultra-rare LEGO Bugatti Type 35 set that will never be sold in stores.
4000048 Bugatti Type 35 is limited to 250 units and was seemingly only available to attendees of the joint event between the LEGO Group and the Bugatti Club Denmark. The 1,592-piece model recreates the first car ever designed for racing – and one of the most successful race cars of all time – with a bright blue colour scheme and what appear to be unique, possibly 3D-printed wheels.
The LEGO House event took place on June 22 (h/t MondoBricks), and was attended by over 200 members of the Bugatti Club Denmark (and their pre-war Bugattis), the King of Denmark, and the LEGO Group’s owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen and CEO Niels B. Christiansen.

The LEGO Group’s recent history with Bugatti is extensive, across themes including Technic and Speed Champions. Billund’s LEGO House is also where the LEGO Group first unveiled its life-size take on 42083 Bugatti Chiron in 2018, solidifying the connection between the location and the French car manufacturer.
Unless you were in attendance back in June, the best you can hope for in terms of 4000048 Bugatti Type 35 is checking out images shared by those lucky enough to be there in person and receive a copy of the set. There’s every chance that one or two copies find their way to the aftermarket, but if they do they’ll likely cost almost as much as the real thing.
