The LEGO Group has officially revealed LEGO Ideas 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket, the next fan-designed set to hit shelves.

The next LEGO Ideas set has been officially revealed as 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket. Originally created by fan designer Alexis Dos Santos and geared towards adults, the 1,283-piece set is available to pre-order from today ahead of its launch on April 1, retailing for £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99. The model is inspired by the classic Tintin comic books Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon by Belgian comic artist Hergé.

While the bulk of the parts obviously go towards the rocket (doing away with the launch pad that was included in Alexis’ original idea), there are also six minifigures included in the set (another change from the first project). These recreate the characters of Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson and Thompson, with an all-new element for Snowy the dog.

They’re all dressed in detailed space suits with helmets and oxygen tanks – even including Snowy. You can also open up a panel at the top of the rocket to reveal a hidden control room, where a minifigure can take in their first view of Earth from space.

“Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey,” said Alexis. “I wanted to capture the spirit of Tintin’s iconic rocket in a way that celebrates both its engineering elegance and its place in pop culture. Recreating its curvature and connecting the three floors pushed my creativity, and seeing it finally come together with all the minifigures in their space suits has been incredibly rewarding.
