LEGO Ideas 92177 Ship in a Bottle may not be coming to the UK

The recently-reissued LEGO Ideas set 92177 Ship in a Bottle may not be launching in the UK after all.

Two retired LEGO Ideas sets returned to LEGO.com in the US earlier this month. 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V and 92177 Ship in a Bottle are nearly identical to their original sets, 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V and 21313 Ship in a Bottle. But while the reissued rocket is available worldwide, UK fans are still waiting for 92177 to appear on LEGO.com.

That wait may unfortunately be an endless one, if the official LEGO Twitter account is anything to go by. Responding to a fan asking about 92177’s availability, the LEGO social team tweeted: “If it’s the Ship in a Bottle set you’re seeking, we have retired this product in the UK to make room for awesome new sets!”

Of course, the folks who run the company’s social accounts may have simply confused 92177 for the original retired set, 21313. But given the fan who asked the question specifically referred to the new product number, it seems unlikely.

That suggests 92177 Ship in a Bottle may not be coming to the UK after all. And if that is the case, it’s a real shame for Ideas fans hoping to grab the re-released display set. But it would explain the set’s absence on LEGO.com, especially as 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V is already available to order.

We’ll let you know if 92177 Ship in a Bottle ever does turn up in the UK. For now, you can grab the current LEGO Ideas range at LEGO.com. Please support Brick Fanatics by doing so using our affiliate links.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
